Trump tweet: It's a new day

It's a new day and a new person to fire 🔥 at for President Trump. And Sunday's target was Senator Bob Corker. And of course, Trump couldn't help but tweet out his daily threat ⚠️ to North Korea‼️

🐦 Senator Bob Corker "begged" me to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee. I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without my endorsement). He also wanted to be Secretary of State, I said "NO THANKS." He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal! Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn't have the guts to run!

But Todd Womack, Corker's chief of staff, said in fact that it was President Trump who had asked him to run and promised his endorsement. "The president called Senator Corker on Monday afternoon and asked him to reconsider his decision not to seek reelection and reaffirmed that he would have endorsed him, as he has said many times." Trump's comments come after Corker delivered his own harsh words to the president. Corker charged in an interview on Sunday that President Trump was treating his office like “a reality show,” with reckless threats toward other countries that could set the nation “on the path to World War III.”

Pence, wearing a Manning No. 18 jersey, left Lucas Oil Stadium 🏈 after the national anthem, following instructions from President Trump after a number of San Francisco 49ers players, as they usually do, took a knee during the anthem. Pence said he chose to leave because “we should rally around our Flag.” 🇺🇸

🐦 FEMA and first responders are working hard (yet again) on Hurricane Nate. Military helping. Very much under control!

The president officially declared Alabama and Florida disaster areas earlier in the day. The storm hit the Gulf states late Saturday and Sunday, but was downgraded to a tropical depression later in the day by the National Hurricane Center. More than 100,000 people in both states lost electricity after the storm's landfall, including about 56,000 in Mobile, Alabama.

🐦 Bob Corker gave us the Iran Deal, & that's about it. We need HealthCare, we need Tax Cuts/Reform, we need people that can get the job done!

🐦 The trip by VP Pence was long planned. He is receiving great praise for leaving game after the players showed such disrespect for country!

A Pence aide said the trip ✈️ had been in the works for several weeks, and predated the resurfacing of the NFL protests as an issue.
