Another milestone for Zidane: Hits 50 LaLiga victories quicker than Guardiola

Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Espanyol was not only important in the sense of ending the club's poor recent record at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but it also brought up a milestone for Zinedine Zidane.

The French coach reached 50 LaLiga victories and, in doing so, outshone Pep Guardiola's benchmark. The comparisons between the two coaches are inevitable when you consider the almost unprecedented levels of success that both brought to their respective clubs.

Zidane brought up his 50th LaLiga victory as Los Blancos coach on Sunday after just 65 domestic matches on the bench, surpassing the record set by the current Manchester City coach, for whom it took 67 LaLiga matches.

Over the course of these 65 matches, the former Castilla coach has overseen a complete turnaround in fortunes for the defending European champions and has brought a togetherness to the squad.
