Union of Campus Journalists University of Ilorin, calls for submission for her magazine publication named "UCJist". This publication is steered towards enhancing peace building in Nigeria and will be launched during the press week of the Union, tagged ‘AHIMSA’ : the mission of peace journalism.

UCJ Unilorin is known for high level journalistic practices and one of the finest campus journalism outfit in Nigeria. Its activities are aimed at informing and critiquing societal issues for social development.

The aim of this publication is not just to give our members, readers and potential writer for our magazine an opportunity to write, but also to give a voice as well as the platform for a peace laden society. The theme of the magazine is AHIMSA: Compass to peace building in Nigeria.

We hereby call on prospective contributors to interpret the theme of our magazine in compelling ways with their writing to promote peace in Nigeria.

All submission should be written to suit themes such as Essay, Poetry, Politics, Lifestyle, photography, Infotainment, jokes, cartoons etc. but are not more than 400words.

We invite writers and artists to think beyond genre, and not to write outside the theme in focus.

There's a lot to be gained from publishing in a literary magazine. Beyond cred among your peers, submitting to journals can help you to hone your writing skills, develop your career and expand your audience.

Our aim is to be an accurate representation of the diversity of our beautiful community. Your voice is valued here.
