Anti-Corruption Fight Must Be Holistic, Wike To FG

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike asked the Federal Government to fight corruption within the ambit of the law.

“The fight against corruption must be holistic and it should not be vindictive in nature,” Wike said on Tuesday at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

He expressed the view when he received the Primate of Anglican Church, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh, who was accompanied on the visit by archbishops and bishops of the church.

The governor said, “Those of us who are privileged to serve should know that it is by the grace of God that we serve. Therefore, we must serve to the glory of God “.

He noted that the church has been the pillar of his administration, stressing that he is not afraid to associate with the church at all times.

Wike thanked the church for scheduling the General Synod in Rivers State, describing it as an opportunity for the archbishops and bishops to see the works of his administration.
