Buhari Presides Over FEC Meeting

The President, Muhammadu Buhari  presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting holding in Abuja since his return from his medical vacation on August 19, 2017. Last week’s FEC meeting was cancelled.

Most of the cabinet ministers were in attendance including Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, said in a statement on Tuesday that the decision was taken due to inadequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting.

“The two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations left little or no time to prepare for the weekly meeting,” the statement issued in Kano by the minister’s media aide, Segun Adeyemi, read in part.
