IPOB Clash: Police Arraign 32 In Port Harcourt


The Rivers State Police Command arraigned members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) arrested during the recent clash between IPOB members and some residents of Oyigbo local government area of Rivers State.

The arrested persons which the Commissioner of Police in the state, Zaki Ahmed puts at about 32, were arrested for allegedly causing the breach of peace and destroying properties, and also killing a Police Sergeant, during the crisis.

The persons are currently in the premises of the state High Court but yet to be arraigned. There is heavy presence of security operatives and movement into the court premises is also restricted.
