University of Ilorin hosts researchers from Glasgow University at the Central Research Laboratories, on a three-day seminar, ended on 15th September, 2017.
The three-day seminar which host Prof. Marshall Stark and Dr. Femi Olorunniji from Glasgow University, UK, was on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
Prof. Marshall Stark, Glasgow University, said, "Addressing a particular portion of a problem which is a part of a bigger problem will help a lot, because thousands or hundred of thousands of Scientists are actually working on every problem."
Prof. Marshall encouraged the students to concentrate on the parts that were left behind while researching by other researchers.
Dr. Femi Olorunniji urged the students to develop critical minds as researchers and to draw strong conclusion from a complete result, to make their research accurate.
He said, researchers identify what people don't know, and create a solution around it.
He urges them to discover the known unknown and the unknown known problems in their field.
The Director of Central Research Laboratories, Prof. Temidayo Oladiji said, the program was held basically to orient Post graduate students in the Life Sciences, on how to go about their research project.
She added that, the program was quite educative and focused more on students enlightenment and advising them to start their research from the basics, explaining that every research must be achievable.
Mr. Alexander and Mr. Abdulwahab, gave a poster presentation of their projects on Metabolomics in Nutrition, and was appraised by the guests researchers.
The program came to a close with a photo session including The Dean, The Director of Central laboratories, The Facilitators and other participants.
