In a blockbuster report over the weekend, the New York Times tried to detail President Trump's first year in office.
It included this juicy tidbit, "[p]eople close to him estimate that Mr. Trump spends at least four hours a day, and sometimes as much as twice that, in front of a television, sometimes with the volume muted, marinating in the no-holds-barred wars of cable news and eager to fire back."
Anyone who follows Trump's tweets suspects as much. A lot of Trump's twitter tirades seem to follow the day's news as covered on cable TV.
Trump hates this view of him. He had a couple months ago told reporters that he had no time for TV, only time for "documents."
This morning, Trump turned to Twitter to blast the Times, saying, 'Another false story, this time in the Failing nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day - Wrong! Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News. I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the "dumbest man on television!" Bad Reporting.'
The irony of this tweet? It came at the same time that MSNBC was covering the New York Times story regarding his TV watching.
