21Million Have Watched Disney's Descendants

Disney Channel's latest original movie, Descendants 2, reached audience tally of 21 million since premiering.

That includes live and time-shifted views on the parent network, ABC, Disney XD, Freeform, Lifetime and Lifetime Movies.

And while that wide net certainly takes some of the steam out of that huge number, the telepic has still amassed an astounding 8.6 million viewers from its first-run Disney Channel telecast alone.

Descendants 2 easily ranks as the No. 1 cable TV telecast in two years among Disney-coveted tweens, kids 2-11 and kids 6-11.

The last time any movie or series pulled near its numbers was in 2015 with the original film.
