Michelle Obama may no longer be America’s First Lady, but she’s still a leader who continues to support the best in homegrown talent while sharing a message of hope.
Obama remains one of the nation’s most watched women, and she uses that visibility for all the right causes.
Onstage in Denver yesterday at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s TogetHER conference, she appeared in a colorful piece from Tanya Taylor’s Pre-Fall collection.
With its pastel color scheme and floral print, the dress was playful yet polished, especially when paired with oversize Simone Rocha earrings and a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.
For many, a public speaking engagement would mean pulling out a pantsuit or electing to wear neutrals, but Obama’s presence in pink—a color often derided or lumped into trivial categories (millennial pink, anyone?)—proves power dressing is more about attitude than anything else.
