Trump Jr. contradicts White House denials of Russian contacts


Donald Trump Jr released a statement today admitting that he had met with a Russian lawyer who had promised him some dirt on the Clintons.

Also in the meeting, besides him and the Russian lawyer, were Trump's son in law Jared Kushner and Trump's then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

Here are the previous statements by the Trump administration regarding collusion with the Russians.

​6) Vice President Pence asked in January whether there was any contact between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin: “Of course not”​

​8) Trump Jr. in July 2016: Suggestions that Russians tried to help Trump are “lies”​.
