BREAKING: Unilorin SU Sports Secretary, Bash, has been suspended by the Senate Council for 10 working days.
The action was premised on his alleged misappropriation of fund to the tone of #200,000 (Two hundred thousand naira) generated from sale of forms for Unilorin League.
According to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Public Enlightenment, Sen. Peter, the suspended Sport Secretary was sanctioned for going contrary to the relevant provision of the SU Constitution which provides to the effect that monies derived from external bodies in the name of the Union must be remitted within 72 hours.
Furthermore, Comrade Bash was reportedly instructed to remit the said amount at the last Senate Sitting held since 24th December, 2017 and up till now, Mr Bash is yet to remit the money. Hence, the Senate Council's decision to sanction him.
