Rooney completes Everton free transfer from United

Manchester United star and the club's all-time top scorer, has rejoined the Toffees after 13 years away from Merseyside, where he first shone as a teenage player.

Rooney joined United from Everton for £27m, on the basis of stunning displays at Euro 2004 and went on to win five Premier League titles, four League Cups, 1 Champions League, 1 Europa League and the 2015-16 FA Cup on his way to a personal tally of 253 goals.

Rooney is Ronald Koeman's sixth signing of a busy close season at Everton, following Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klassen, Sandro Ramirez and Henry Onyekuru to Goodison Park.

Meanwhile, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to move in the opposite direction for £75million after United saw off competition from Chelsea for the Belgium international.
