Osinbanjo says, Nigeria must plan outside crude oil

The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, said the government had to redefine a post-oil era in Nigeria, noting that the country must adjust to realities.

Osinbajo said this while delivering his speech at the Course 25 Graduation, National Defence College, Abuja.

The Acting President spoke on a topic, ‘The Battle has changed’. Osinbajo said technological advancements and changing realities had helped the Boko Haram terrorists in the North-East to be able to spread their ideologies through the Internet and propaganda videos.

He said, “We have to redefine a post-oil Nigeria. With the changes and advancements in technology, we have no option but to adjust our realities to them.

There are now hackers who could do far more damage than conventional arms. Here, once degraded, the Boko Haram terrorists have resorted to cowardly acts of suicide bombing.
