Why UNILORIN lost in JAMB football tournament


University of Ilorin, hosted the JAMB football tournament and lost their first-two fixtures, on 21st and 22nd of August, 2017, at the KFA kwara stadium, Taiwo Ilorin.

Unilorin football team, were favorite to get  gold, but lost their opening match against Federal Polytechnic Offa on the 21st August, by 0-1.

The school football team, also lost another match against Minna on 22nd of August, losing by 0-2.

Coach Korede, gave his account on the outcome of the match, adding that, inadequate training and limited period to train, were reasons for their defeat, due to exams.

He reported that, 9 members of the school football team, were final year student, dealing with their project.

He further enthused that, losing is part of the game, in football match; it either WIN, DRAW or LOSS, as he expresses his hope in the school team, who recently won medals in Benue State capital.
