Senate President, Bukola Saraiki, unofficially becomes Nigeria’s Acting President, following Yemi’s Osinbajo’s trip to Kigali, the Rwanda capital, for the inauguration of President Paul Kagame.
Osinbajo, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and the Presidential Adviser on Economy, landed at the Kigali International Airport, at about 7:00 am, local time.
The Rwandan leader, having been re-elected on August 4, will be inaugurated today at 10:00 am.
The inauguration, taking place at Amahoro Stadium in the East African country, will be attended by many African Heads of State and Government.
Osinbajo will attend the inauguration luncheon scheduled for 3.00 pm, before returning to Abuja later today.
