Kwara confirms Lassa fever case

Kwara State Government on Friday said there is a confirmed case of Lassa fever in the state.

The State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Sulaiman Alege, during a media briefing in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, stated that the patient was at Babanla Primary Health Care Centre in Ifelodun Local Government Area when his sample was taken.

He said the patient is a 10-year-old boy. He added that the state government would quarantine the patient and those who had contact with him
