Youth Protest Over Eleme Bridge Collapse

Youth of Eleme Community in Rivers State, barricaded traffic along the Eleme refinery road, following the collapse of a bridge on that route.

The protesting youth say they, blocked the road to draw government’s attention to the bridge popularly known as Okulu Aleto in Akpajo on the east west road in Eleme Local Government Area.

A part of the bridge caved in on Thursday, but no casualties have been reported on the route that serves as an access link through Port Harcourt to Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.
