Students Representative Council, faculty Communication and Information Sciences Students Association, University of Ilorin, has appointed her in-house member for the 2017/2018 parliamentary session.
The electoral sitting was presided over by senators in the faculty and a CISSA electoral representative.
Sen. Success began proceedings by taking attendance of SRC members at the sitting, of which 15 members were present.
The presiding officers, presided over the house election, which saw Hon. Ajao as Deputy Clerk, Hon Odedeyi elected as the Clerk and Hon. Light emerged Deputy Speaker.
Hon. Olusola, a representative from Mass Communication was the only aspirant for the post of Speaker, and from the same Constituency with the acting president of the association.
However, the Chief Presiding Officer, Sen. Success raised a motion from the constitution that, the Speaker shall not be from the same constituency with the president.
The motion prompted mixed reactions and suggestion were welcomed from members of the congress.
A congressman, Satcom, said, the election of a speaker shouldn't go on, since the constitution is silent.
The house objected the position of the congress with a motion to go on with the election, of which Hon. Olusola emerged as the speaker of the house with a total of 14Votes out of 14Voters.
