UCJ Unilorin calls for membership, checkout requirements

CALL FOR MEMBERSHIP

This is to inform the entire students’ community of the University of Ilorin that the Call for Membership into the Union of Campus Journalists is now on for 2017/18 session.

The UCJ is an organization whose main objective is to promote journalism, effective public speaking, and writing prowess among her members. The call for membership, which is open to all students, is open from Monday, 27th of November to Friday, 8th of December, 2017. Recruitment is once in a session.

ELIGIBILITY

An intending member:

👉 Must be non-partisan .

👉 Must be a bona fide student of the University of Ilorin.

👉 May be from any department from the various faculties of the University of Ilorin.

👉 Must be ready to learn, contribute and interact with other intellectuals.

👉 Must be ready to comply with our rules and regulations.

👉 Must possess a fairly acceptable level of writing prowess or ready to learn.

👉 Must possess a reasonable level of verbal fluency i.e. know how to communicate in the English language.

PROCEDURE

All intending members should purchase a Membership Form with a token of Seven hundred naira (N700) only from our designated officials.
After filling the form, at not later than three days of purchase, intending members should submit the completed form back to our designated officials.

Screening will come up on Saturday, 9th of December, 2017.

Intending members should check their names on the UCJ notice board (in front of Lagos male hostel).

Successful intending members would pay a sum of N1, 500 (One thousand and five hundred naira) only, as payment for annual due and Membership ID card.

The date for the Induction Ceremony of successful applicants would be communicated to them through SMS.
