Rotaract club, University of Ilorin held her 33rd installation ceremony of Board of directors, on 25th November, 2017.
The installation committee was headed by the newly sworn in vice president of the club, Rtr. Lasisi Sukurat Omotanwa.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the National, Unilorin, and Rotaract anthem after which a welcome address was delivered by the club's vice president.
The president of the club, UTP Ismaheel Waliulah Abodurin, in his speech, stated the plans of the club which include; borehole projects for public hostels on campus and a host of other beneficial plans.
The Guest speaker, Dr. Mahfouz Adedimeji, in his sptitled his speech, ''You: making a difference," charged members of the audience by giving tips on how to make a difference.
Adedimeji emphasised the need to know oneself, believe in one's ability, be able to control oneself,to have the ability to do away with things that may pose as distractions and also the need to reward oneself as no one will celebrate you as much as you'll celebrate yourself.
He stated that, there are Five D's that helps one to make a difference and they are Dream, Desire, Deprive, Determination, Distraction.
He enthused that, there is the need to have a dream, have the desire to achieve the dream, to deprive oneself of certain comforts, to be determined to achieve that dream and to avoid all forms of distractions.
According to him, he said, "Education is not the same as literacy," as he wrap up his speech.
Awards were presented to the awardees and items were donated to certain pre-selected members of different communities and the new executives were inducted.
Other dignitaries present include Dr.Abdulraheem Nimah,PP Raji Kabir,Rtr.Shittu Waheed and a host of others.
The programme came to an end with auction sales after which the event was declared closed by the president.
