Laptop stolen in Faculty of Law Library, Unilorin.

UCJ UNILORIN can confirm that a laptop which belongs to Mr. Shonaya (also known as Junny, a 400 level law student) was allegedly stolen by a suspected junior colleague of his in 200 level, Mr. Adeyemi.

According to Mr. Shonaya (Junny), he left the stolen laptop at the electronic section of the faculty library in order to attend to a short rehearsal not far from his faculty. On his return, he discovered his laptop was missing.

He further stated that those present with him at the said section were present on his return but for the suspect, Mr. Adeyemi, who was allegedly involved in a theft-related case during the Harmattan semester of the 2016/2017 academic session of the university.

UCJ UNILORIN also gathered from a source that Mr. Adeyemi seldom attends classes in his faculty. The source also revealed that he was allegedly seen by some law students leaving the library with a jacket wrapped around his arm during Mr. Shonaya's absence from the library.

As at the time of filing this report, all efforts to reach Mr. Adeyemi in order to hear his own side of the story proved abortive as his line was unavailable.

However, the security unit has been alerted and efforts are in top gear to bring the suspect within the scrutiny of the security unit.
