SPORTS: Physical Science Team set for Epic Cup showdown.

The National Association of Physical Science Students (NAPHSS) Male and female team are through to the semi finals of this year's SU Cup as part of sporting activities of the 2017 SU Sports Festival. The team (Male) which eased passed Faculties of Agricultural Science, Basic Medical Science, Environmental Sciences and more recently, Communication and Information Sciences (CIS) have been in fine form thus far in the competition. With the semi finals, the only barrier from gracing the grand finale, the team is now fully focused on scaling the next hurdle.

The Team Coach relayed his optimism in reaching the final, "We are positive about that. Nobody gets this far and wishes to go back home empty handed. Our minds are fixed on the game against the Faculty of Arts. They are also a very good side which we are aware and wary of. My boys are well prepared and we can only but wait for the kick off time. When we win, we can now talk about winning the trophy."

Coincidentally, the female team of both faculties will be slugging it out at the same stage of the competition. The time of both clashes has been slated for 3:30pm local time. Venue will be main bowl for the male match and 5 aside pitch for the women match.

Also worthy of note is that the Physical Science basketball team are through to the Finals and will be slugging it out with Social Sciences by 10am.Environmental Sciences will face Engineering in the 3rd place encounter. The Physical Science Sports Secretary, Com Uthman (Uthadesh) implored members of the Faculty and the university community as a whole to come bang drums of support for the team and cheer them to glory.
