Vives: Barcelona the most followed and loved club in the world

Looking at a study recently commissioned by Barcelona, spokesman for the board of directors, Josep Vives proclaimed that the Catalans, as a brand, were in perfect health.

The results of the study have many conclusions.

For example, the spectacular following that the team has outside of Spain, which is something that was already known but this has been quantified.

Barcelona is also the most followed football club in the United States, China, Japan, Brazil, Turkey and Mexico.

In India and Indonesia they occupy the second position.

At national level, the Catalans are second behind Real Madrid in terms of the number of followers.

"Barcelona is the most followed and most loved club in the world," Vives proudly stated.

As explained by the club, the study was carried out during September through 12,400 online interviews to people (men and women) who follow the sport in 10 strategic markets: Catalonia, Spain, USA, China, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, India, Japan and Indonesia.
